Just Cause 3 will be getting plenty of DLC this year, with the first part of it all launching next month. The upcoming DLC is called Sky Fortress, which is part of the Air, Land and Sea Expansion Pass that was also detailed by the developer. Senior Producer at Avalanche Studios, Tobias Anders, said the following: “If Just Cause 3 is over-the-top action then the Air, Land and Sea Expansion pass aims to stand on its shoulders and reach even higher. An incredible amount of time has been spent ensuring every new item is fully integrated into the main game and can be used during existing missions. Rico’s new Bavarium Wingsuit will fundamentally alter the core gameplay of Just Cause 3 and we can’t wait to see the crazy stunts that players perform with it.”
The Sky Fortress DLC will definitely be kicking off the Air, Land and Sea Expansion Pass with a bang, as protagonist Rico Rodriguez must take on an army of robot drones that are contained within a deadly, floating fortress. Luckily for Rico, he will be packed with a brand new Bavarium Wingsuit, which is fitted with shoulder-mounted machine guns and auto-targeting missiles. Rico will also have access to the Eviction personal defense drone and Bavarium Splitter machine gun. The remaining DLC will be announced by Avalanche Studios throughout the year, though it’s unknown how many DLC packs they are planning on releasing at this point.
Sky Fortress will be available to download next month for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Those who have the season pass will get the expansion a week earlier than everyone else, with the season pass costing $24.99. The expansion will cost $11.99 if you buy it standalone, though if you’re planning on purchasing all of the DLC then you should definitely get the season pass as you’ll end up saving money.
