It looks like Super Meat Boy is going to get a physical release for the PlayStation 4. Edmund McMillen told IGN that the co-creator did confirm a physical release is coming to PS4.
Gematsu noticed that the game is already available for retail on Amazon UK. It is listed on Amazon for £19.99 and the description lists the features of the popular game. The game was made by a small team, but has had very good success and popularity. The game is a very challenging platformer, where you play as a little cube of meat. The game has a score of 10/10 on Steam.
The game is already available on PlayStation 4 and PS Vita as a downloadable version. It’s always nice to have the option of owning a physical copy. Team Meat developer Edmund McMillen has responded to IGN, calling the Amazon UK listing erroneous.
“99% sure it’s false. We don’t have a publisher for boxed retail,” McMillen said. The listing is still on Amazon UK, and it is not clear if a physical version of the game will be coming to PlayStation 4 or not. The game is not listed on the US Amazon site however.
Back in August, the Super Meat Boy team said that a sequel could be possible after finding some inspiration while developing its mobile runner Super Meat Boy Forever.
Super Meat Boy is not currently listed on Amazon in the US.
