Xbox One and PC are becoming closer and closer buddies as Windows 10 is uniting the two as their operating systems, and Microsoft is taking that opportunity to bring more big Xbox games to PC. One such game is Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, which is a remaster of the original Gears of War game that launched for the Xbox 360 in 2006. Phil Spencer was asked by a fan on Twitter just when we could expect to see the release of both that game and Killer Instinct, with Spencer responding by saying that the releases of both shouldn’t be “too far into 2016.”
@therealdealadam@brycethatoneguy Haven’t announced dates yet but won’t be too far into 2016.

Both Gears of War: Ultimate Edition and Killer Instinct were confirmed to be coming to PC during this year’s PC Gaming Show that took place during E3. Gears Of War: Ultimate Edition launched for Xbox One on August 25, while Killer Instinct is releasing in free seasons each year that originally began in 2013. These games are set to only be the beginning of more Xbox One games making their way to PC, though as of this article we haven’t heard about any new announcements of more Xbox One games being brought over to PC.
While the original Gears of War remaster is currently available, a 4th installment in the series is also in the works. The game is being developed by The Coalition and is aiming for a Q4 2016 release date on Xbox One. The game will be a departure for the series, with new protagonists and fresh gameplay that expands upon the cover-based shooting that the series championed almost 10 years ago. It’s been a while since we’ve gotten information on Gears of War 4, though the big reveal for the game is expected to be made at E3 2016.
