Guitar Hero Live recently received its first big update for Guitar Hero TV earlier this month, which added head-to-head multiplayer called Rival Challenges. This new feature pits you against another live player twice every 30 minutes, and the winner will get an additional 100 experience points. You do have to be at least level 10, however. The update also gives players a free 3 plays if their account is at zero, allowing them to choose 3 songs to play on-demand.
Guitar Hero Live launched on October 20, 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and iOS. It marks the first game in the main series to be released since 2010’s Warriors of Rock. The game is regularly receiving free updates that add new songs to the game’s Guitar Hero TV mode, giving gamers new content without having to pay for it as the series used to require through DLC.
