During the Jump Festa event held in Tokyo, Japan this week, Bandai Namco made a number of announcements regarding several of their franchises including Mobile Suit Gundam, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, and God Eater, among others.
A western release for Tales of Berseria was confirmed for PlayStation 4 and PC but no release date was announced. Tales of Berseria is the sixteenth entry in the long-running ‘Tales’ franchise and revolves around Velvet, an vitriolic young woman who experienced a traumatic event three years prior to the start of the game. This game will also mark the end of Bandai Namco’s 20th anniversary celebrations of the ‘Tales’ franchise.
Bandai Namco also announced the Western release of two titles from the popular God Eater franchise — God Eater: Resurrection and God Eater 2: Rage Burst. Resurrection is a remake of God Eater Burst and will feature new gameplay elements and visuals. God Eater 2: Rage Burst is the sequel to the original God Eater Burst and was originally released in Japan in 2014. Both games will launch in Summer 2016 on PS4, PlayStation Vita, and PC.
Also set for a Western release is JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven. A 3D brawler that is based on the influential anime and manga series of the same name, the game will launch in the US in 2016 for PS4.
Having already been confirmed for PS4, PS Vita, and Xbox One, One Piece: Burning Blood is now coming to PC in 2016. Bandai Namco also announced that a limited edition Marineford Edition of the game. Only 5,000 units of this edition will be released and it comes with two figures (Whitebeard and his grave) and an artbook. Pre-order bonuses for PS4 and Xbox One were also announced and will be revealed at a later date.
For fans of the Gundam series or giant mechs in general, Gundam Extreme VS-Force is coming exclusively to PS Vita in 2016. The game will feature Gundam units from across the entire franchise.
