Rocksteady Studios has announced that the final batch of DLC for Batman: Arkham Knight will arrive on Tuesday, December 22. The DLC pack will be called Season of Infamy and will contain four new “Most Wanted” missions and new skins for Batman and the Batmobile.
The new “Most Wanted” missions will see Batman go up against Killer Croc, Mister Freeze, Mad Hatter, and Ra’s Al Ghul. In addition to the four familiar supervillains, Batman will also receive a new costume that is based on Christian Bale’s Batsuit in 2008’s The Dark Knight and the Batmobile design that was used in Batman: Arkham Asylum. If you want more details about the content in the DLC pack, go here.
The Season of Infamy DLC pack will mark the end of Rocksteady’s involvement with the Batman: Arkham series. In the final 2015 episode of Arkham Insider embedded below, Rocksteady studio head Sefton Hill reflects on his studio’s work on the Batman: Arkham series over the past decade, as well as showing off footage of the new DLC.
Whilst Hill talks a bit about Rocksteady’s involvement with the Batman: Arkham series, the video purposely dodges the question of whether Rocksteady will make any more Batman games. The three main titles in the Batman: Arkham series — Asylum, City, Knight — were all developed by Rocksteady whilst Warner Bros. Games Montreal developed the spin-off, Batman: Arkham Origins.
Owners of the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight will receive a new patch that contains fixes and support for the upcoming DLC. If you interested at what’s been fixed, the full patch notes can be found here. Anyone who purchased the Batman: Arkham Knight DLC pass will automatically receive Season of Infamy. The DLC can also be purchased individually on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
