Have you been playing the recently released, brilliant take on the Left 4 Dead formula called Vermintide? If you haven’t, what are you waiting for? Go pick it up now! If you have however, you’ll be pleased to know that developer Fatshark will be releasing a free DLC for the game in December, more specifically on the 6th. So, Vermintide players, better free up some game time, because changes are coming to the game, and the DLC will be focusing on one of the more infuriating (but also addictive) features of the game, mainly loot.
That’s right, Vermintide’s loot system is getting a much needed overhaul. The DLC, fittingly entitled “Sigmar’s Blessing” will be completely free, and will allow players to choose the type of loot they are getting. Additionally, a new altar will be introduced that will allow for loot to be sacrificed. That’s right, you can finally get rid of that surplus of useless legendaries that you have been randomly getting, with the possibility of getting better loot tailored to your favorite characters or playstyle. Additionally, new traits will be introduced, making weapons more diverse and potentially more useful. That means you can actually get a Trueflight bow without increased zoom in the future. Sounds good? Bet it does!
In addition, the DLC will also add a new red weapon tier, which is one grade above the current high-end orange tier. This will allow players to more easily tackle the game’s harder difficulties, while adding an additional incentive to keep playing. While the Sigmar’s Blessing DLC will be free, some of the expansions and updates coming to the game won’t be. Fatshark will be alternating between free and paid DLCsin the future, so you’ll be able to enjoy some new features without spending any additional money, as well as fork out a few bucks and get even more content. You can read up on the full press release from Fatshark on Vermintide’s official website.
