The next adventure, set in the vivid world of the sadly deceased auteur creator Benoît Sokal, will debut on November 15th, and Syberia: The World Before will soon be available on consoles. The deuteragonist Dana Roze’s motivations are partially revealed in a new character teaser trailer that was released.
The World Before takes place in two different time periods: 1937, when pianist Dana’s promising career is threatened by the specter of fascism over Europe, and 2004, when protagonist Kate Walker was detained in the made-up Taiga region after the events of Syberia 3.
A fancy Collector’s Edition of the game is being released by Microids for the super fans out there, and it includes a ton of extras like a map, music box, in-universe postcards, an art book, and a lot more.
The Syberia series is beloved by fans of adventure games, despite not being by any means the most well-known or successful PlayStation franchise. It is encouraging to see it advancing in a time when service games are the norm.
