As we learned recently, David Cage’s previously PlayStation-exclusive Detroit: Become Human, Beyond: Two Souls and Heavy Rain are making their way to PC. While we knew that the system requirements would likely be on the higher end considering that his games typically always look stunning, we now know the official system requirements.
Both the minimum and recommended PC system requirements have been revealed for the PC versions of Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human. As to be expected, the system requirements are on the higher end of things, which makes sense for Detroit but less so for the much older Heavy Rain. The following are the minimum and recommended system requirements:
Detroit: Become Human, Beyond Two Souls, Heavy Rain PC minimum specs:
OS: Windows 7-64 bit
CPU: Intel i5-2400 @ 3.4GHz or equivalent
RAM: 4GB
GPU: Nvidia GTX 660 or equivalent
VRAM: 2GB
API: DirectX 11, Vulkan (Detroit)
Detroit: Become Human, Beyond Two Souls, Heavy Rain PC recommended specs:
OS: Windows 10-64 bit
CPU: Intel i7-2700K or equivalent
RAM: 12GB
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080 or equivalent
VRAM: 8GB
API: DirectX 11, Vulkan (Detroit)
None of these games currently have release dates, with the official Epic Games store pages simply saying “coming soon.” They are all expected to release this year, so we’ll keep you posted when we learn more. All three of these games were very well-received when they launched on PlayStation platforms, being among some of the best exclusives that PlayStation had to offer. While they often drew criticism for their lack of gameplay and seeming more like interactive movies, they still offer compelling experiences that are worth checking out.
The end of this exclusivity deal with PlayStation was revealed earlier this year when it was revealed that Quantic Dream’s next game would be a multi-platform release. Neither the title of the game nor the platform’s that it will ultimately release on were revealed, which is to be expected since development is in the very early stages. It’s very possible that this game ends up releasing on the next generation of consoles, which are predicted to be debuting in the near future.
