PlayStation 4 gamers have a new visual novel to look forward to that’s coming soon, which is called 428: Shibuya Scramble. The game is certainly unique, and now the ESRB has let out some more details via their rating for the game.
The Entertainment Software Rating Board ended up giving the game a T (for teen) rating, with the main reasons being Blood, Drug Reference, Language, Use of Alcohol and Tobacco, as well as Violence. The following is the complete ESRB rating description for 428: Shibuya Scramble:
“This is a visual novel/adventure game in which players follow a storyline through the perspectives of five characters involved in a kidnapping case. Players must make choices that affect the outcome of the story and the characters. Game text includes details of violence, with descriptions of beatings and stabbings. Some story segments depict corpses, characters with stab wounds, and/or characters shooting pistols at one another. Several scenes depict characters with blood on their hands, near their bodies, or on their clothes/around a wound.
During the course of the game, characters are sometimes seen with cigarettes or cigars in their mouths or hands; one scene depicts characters toasting and drinking from cans of beer. One character is described as a “tweaker” whose “mind was probably a complete mess from meth withdrawal.” The word “sh*t” appears in the dialogue.”
428: Shibuya Scramble will release for PlayStation 4 on September 4th.
