Earlier today Activision announced that Spyro Reignited Trilogy is set to release later this year, providing remakes of the three games released on PSOne. While that trilogy was announced for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the announcement, it looks like there may be at least one more platform that it will be releasing on.
A listing for a Switch version of Spyro Reignited Trilogy has appeared on the official Nintendo UK Website, which seems to confirm that a Switch version is also on the horizon. It hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, but listings that appear on official websites are typically legitimate.
What’s possible here is that the Switch version could be releasing at some point after the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game. The most obvious comparison to make here is with Activision’s other remake trilogy, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. That trilogy originally released as a timed PlayStation 4-exclusive last year, though now the game is set to be released on Xbox One, Switch and PC later this year.
Spyro Reignited Trilogy is set to launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 21st. It offers completely remade versions of the PSOne Spyro games, similarly to what the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy did last year.
