Today is March 10th, which means that it is officially Mario Day. Unsurprisingly, Nintendo is doing something to celebrate their most beloved character, electing to do it through their current mobile game Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. They made the announcement through the game’s official Twitter account, revealing the Super Mario Crossover Event.
The event is set to run for an entire month, and players will be able to craft a bunch of Mario-themed items during that time frame. These include the likes of Mario’s mustache, coin, super mushroom, koopa shell and much more. There will actually be three rounds of this event, and each round will contain different items for players to craft. The following is a breakdown of each round of the Super Mario Crossover Event.
Round 1: From 3/10/18 at 1:00 a.m. to 4/10/18 at 12:59 a.m.
Round 2: From 3/21/18 at 1:00 a.m. to 4/10/18 at 12:59 a.m.
Round 3: From 3/31/18 at 1:00 a.m. to 4/10/18 at 12:59 a.m.
Players will receive a new special item called Mushrooms by doing requests for animals and visiting the quarry, which will allow them to craft all of the new Mario-themed items. There will be new types of mushrooms available during round 2 and round 3, which will also bring with them even more items for players to craft.
Of course, once the event ends players will no longer be able to craft any of the Mario-themed items, so players will want to get a jump on this if they want to get everything that it has to offer. Luckily the event runs for an entire month, so there’s plenty of time to get everything.
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is available now for iOS and Android devices, and is free-to-play. The game features currency called Leaf Tickets that can be purchased with real money to speed up crafting times or even to purchase certain in-game items, but purchasing these tickets is unnecessary and can be acquired gradually in-game.
