PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) has received a minor patch on PC today, which aims to fix a problem with the game’s hit registration. The patch is just 24MB, so you don’t have to worry about having to make room for this one.
As for the specifics on the patch, the developer revealed in a tweet that it “fixed an issue with long range hits not registering intermittently and an issue with the client crashing in the lobby.” Not anything mind blowing, but should nevertheless make life a little better for PUBG players.
PUBG was easily one of the biggest games of 2017, with the game amassing a huge player base that is still growing to this day. In fact, it was revealed that the game had over 3 million concurrent players on Steam over the weekend, which is a new record for the game. The game spent most of its time in 2017 in Early Access form, though it is now a finished game.
The same can’t be said for the Xbox One version of the game, which released into the Game Preview program last month. Despite the fact that Game Preview makes it clear that the games featured are not finished and will likely come with lots of bugs, many felt that it was in far worse shape than it should have been. This has put the developer in some hot water recently, with many people complaining that big changes need to come to it ASAP.
PUBG is available for PC and Xbox One.
