The Nokia 3310 HMD Global announced back in February was probably one of the biggest surprises of this year. Unfortunately, it had one big flaw: the smartphone did not support 3G networks. This is why HMD Global decided to deliver a new reiteration of the phone. The company just announced the Nokia 3310 3G. The addition of 3G support is not the only new thing about the Nokia 3310 3G. It also comes with brand new colors and a new user interface. This will allow users to pick new themes that reflect their mood. Also, the new user interface enables users to change the color of the icons as well as their position to the liking of the users.
Besides the vibrant Yellow and Warm Red color options, the new Nokia 3310 3G will also become available in two new color options: Azure and Charcoal. All bodies will have a matte finish and will offer a silver keypad. According to HMD Global, the new Nokia 3310 3G will also be more comfortable to use as the space between the keys just got a little larger. Thanks to this, users will be able to text and dial more comfortably. Even though the company doesn’t clearly state whether the battery of the handset got a boost too or not, it does say that the new model will offer p to 6.5 hours of talk time and up to 27 days of standby time.
The global average price of the Nokia 3310 3G will reportedly be around €69. HMD Global will release the 3G model in mid- October, so fans won’t have to wait too long to purchase it. Thanks to the 3G support it now offers, the Nokia 3310 3G will be available in more countries than the earlier version was. The first reimagining of the popular cell phone model was quite well received by the public. There is no doubt that the new model which now supports 3G networks too will be just as popular as its sibling. It might not be a flagship phone, but it does appeal to nostalgic users and it is a reliable device to have when a normal smartphone is not necessary.
