Bethesda has quite a few VR games in the works, and now the company has revealed that all of the previously-announced ones will be out before the end of the year. The games in question are DOOM VFR, Skyrim VR and Fallout 4 VR, which are easily the biggest titles that the company has under their wings at the moment.
First up we have the release date for Skyrim VR, which is set for November 17th on PlayStation VR. Interestingly, PlayStation VR was the only platform revealed for the game, so it looks like it’s going to be an exclusive for the time being. Considering the massive scope of the game and the critical praise that it originally got on consoles, this will definitely be a big draw for the PlayStation VR.
Things open up for the other two games on the list, as DOOM VFR will launch on December 1st for both PlayStation VR and HTC Vive. This will then be followed by Fallout 4 VR, which will launch on December 12th for HTC Vive. Oculus Rift is the obvious odd man out here, as none of the games were mentioned for the platform.
While VR gaming hasn’t exactly taken off yet, these big titles from Bethesda definitely have the potential to convert newcomers. Skyrim and Fallout 4 in particular are massive draws with huge fanbases, and if the VR versions end up being solid then we could see VR making a big impact later this year.
For those who want to try the games out, all three will be playable at QuakeCon. That takes place in Dallas, Texas and runs from August 24th to the 27th.
