We’ve been getting plenty of Final Fantasy 15 announcements during Gamescom 2017, which includes the likes of a Windows Edition and Pocket Edition of the game. However, it looks like we could be getting even more announcements regarding the game in the future, as the game’s director is definitely teasing something else.
Final Fantasy 15 director Hajime Tabata talked about the latest additions to the Final Fantasy 15 universe live on Twitch recently, while also teasing what may be coming in the future. While he said that the team can’t confirm anything at the moment, “There’s another certain console out there that you may be thinking of, it sounds a little bit like your name Twitch.”
Now, this is very obvious that he’s referring to Nintendo’s latest console called Switch, which fans have been wanting a port of the game to for months now. While it’s possible that this could end up being a different game entirely for the Switch, it would be great if they could manage to bring the main game to the console. There would certainly be some challenges considering the limitations of the console’s hardware, but you never know what might happen.
Final Fantasy 15 originally launched for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at the end of 2015, bringing the game’s extremely long development time to and end. The game had originally been in development for the PlayStation 3 as Final Fantasy Versus 13, before eventually being reworked and rebranded years later. The game received positive reviews at launch, and has finally gotten the series back on the right track after years of missteps.
There will be lots more information released regarding all of these Final Fantasy 15 announcements in the future, and we’ll be sure to keep you updated as soon as that information becomes available.
