Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon launched exclusively for the 3DS last year, but this year the updated versions of the game will be coming with more content. Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon are the names, and now the Pokemon Company has released new details regarding several of the new features.
One of the biggest additions brought with these games is a new adventure, with “ominous dark clouds are spreading in the sky above the Alola region” and “new buildings and landscapes” appearing that weren’t there before. In these new versions of the game, “a story unfolds on a grand scale, with the Legendary Pokemon Solgaleo, Lunala, and Necrozma at its center. Secrets about Necrozma and the Alola region—undisclosed in the previous games—will come to light.”
There will also be new Z-Moves added to the mix, with Z-Moves being the very powerful special moves that your Pokemon could use in the original games. “In Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon, the main character will put on a Z-Power Ring, which can use even more varieties of Z-Moves than the Z-Ring! And the games also feature new Z-Moves for certain Pokemon!”
It has also been confirmed that a new form of Lycanroc will appear in the game’s world, which is known as Dusk Form Lycanroc. “The colors of Dusk Form Lycanroc’s body and eyes differ from those of previously discovered Lycanroc, known as Midday Form and Midnight Form. The moves that Dusk Form Lycanroc can learn also seem to reflect the characteristics of both Midday and Midnight Forms. Dusk Form Lycanroc learns both Accelerock and Counter—moves favored by Midday Form and Midnight Form Lycanroc, respectively.”
