The Kickstarter campaign for the co-op monster-raising RPG called Re:Legend has been a big success far, as the game has easily surpassed its main goal of just over $50,000. However, the game also has plenty of stretch goals, and it just reached a new one that it ensures that it will be coming to all major consoles along with a PC release.
The game’s Kickstarter campaign had stretch goals for a Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version, which had goals of around $84,000, $206,000 and $228,000, respectively. Earlier stretch goals included things like live orchestra recording, improved customization and full voice acting. There are three stretch goals left, with one being new bachelor and backelorettes and the other two being unknown. The game’s campaign has raised just under $240,000 at the time of this writing, with 11 days left to go.
The following is a brief synopsis of the game:
“Washed ashore on Vokka Island without memories, you start a new life and find ways to recover your lost memories. However, you must first learn how to live on the island by cultivating the land, befriending villagers, expanding the village and raising your very own magical creatures known as Magnus. Venture around the land of Ethia where Vokka island resides to reclaim your memories, but this is no easy task as the world is filled with dangerous Magnus and threatening challenges.”
The game has a cutesy art style that is very charming, giving it a look that’s reminiscent of games like Harvest Moon. However, it definitely includes many more types of gameplay than that series does, as this a complete RPG on top of a farming/taming game.
A specific release date for Re:Legend has not yet been revealed, but it is expected to launch in June of 2018. We’ll be sure to keep you updated when more news on the game becomes available.
