Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen got a new shot at life when it released on PC in early 2016, bringing the game to a much bigger audience. That version of the game has done very well, and today we have learned when the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will be released.
It has been revealed by Capcom that Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen will launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 3rd in the west and October 5th in Japan, with the game costing $29.99. The game will be available both digitally and physically, which should please both sides of the aisle.
The game comes with “improved high resolution visuals for consoles. This version contains the original Dragon’s Dogma along with all additional content from the Dark Arisen expansion, including the Bitterblack Isle area, filled with challenging new enemies and quests, and additional high level weapons and armor sets.”
The following is a breakdown of the game’s features:
“Dynamic Combat – Cut off the four heads of a Hydra, climb atop griffins and fight airborne, or defeat dragons and other creatures by exploiting their weaknesses
in exhilarating combat.
Epic Fantasy Setting – Travel to Gransys and beyond in a vast, richly detailed world, ripe for exploration.
Content Complete – Includes everything from the original game, along with all additional content from the Dark Arisen expansion.
Deep RPG Mechanics – Nine different vocations for players to choose from with a variety of skill options for each, armor that can be upgraded and enhanced, plus
Pawn companions that can be trained to fit your desired combat style
Updated for Current Consoles – This new version features improved high resolution visuals”
This will be a great opportunity for people to check the game out who might have missed it originally, as it’s definitely a solid experience. Capcom has also said the success of these remasters could lead to a sequel, which will hopefully end up happening. A new trailer for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game was also released, which you can check out below.
