Horizon Zero Dawn has been one of the best PlayStation 4 exclusives to release this year so far, and the game will be getting major DLC later this year to add to the experience. Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that the DLC, called The Frozen Wilds, will be launching on November 7th for $19.99.
The DLC will be set in “icy territories to the north,” which definitely seems like it will be providing an interesting change of pace when compared to the base game. Sony said that they “look forward to sharing more information about The Frozen Wilds as we get closer to the release date. In the meantime, there’s an exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn avatar available for those of you who pre-order the expansion from the PlayStation Store.”
“The Frozen Wilds contains additional content for Horizon Zero Dawn, including new storylines, characters and experiences in a beautiful but unforgiving new area.
- Uncover a compelling new story.
- Explore a brand new area
- Face new machines.
- To use this download, you need Horizon Zero Dawn.
- Enhanced for PS4™ Pro with dynamic 4K gaming, improved graphics and environments, and High Dynamic Range visuals.”
The game most recently received the 1.31 update, which fixed the issues that rose up with the patch before that one that added New Game + and Ultra Hard mode. The patch came in at around 300MB, and you can read the complete patch notes by clicking right here.
Horizon Zero Dawn is available exclusively for PlayStation 4. Be sure to stay tuned for more information on The Frozen Wilds expansion as soon as it becomes available.
