Arms has been a solid success on the Nintendo Switch so far, with fans being happy with the product and the developers releasing regular updates to improve the overall experience. While the game did have a new character added to its roster recently, dataminers may have uncovered that there’s a lot more where that came from.
Dataminers recently worked their way into the files of Arms and posted what they found on Reddit. The list of names found is interesting, as they contain names that appear to be nicknames for existing characters as well as brand new ones. The following is the complete list of characters provided, with the names in bold being new:
- Belt (Max Brass)
- Chain
- Coil
- DNA (Helix)
- Hair (Twintelle)
- Mee (Min Min)
- Mummy (Mummy)
- Ninja (Ninjara)
- Plant
- Police (Byte and Bark)
- Ribbon (Ribbon Girl)
- Robo
- Scroll
- Snake (Kid Cobra)
- Spring (Spring Man)
- Sumo
- Surprise
- Sweet
- Twintale
- Worker (Mechanica)
- BossHead (Hedlok)
- RNA (Dummies)
Just in case you weren’t counting, there’s nine new names on that list. Whether or not all of these characters end up being added to the game remains to be seen, but I think it’s safe to say that Nintendo is planning to add plenty of more fighters to the roster.
The official Arms Twitter account also revealed that the game will be receiving a new update this week, which should be pretty substantial. Not only is the developer promising plenty of balancing tweaks, but new content is also being teased. They said other than the balancing tweaks, “are there any other happy additions, or not? Please wait for a follow up report!”
Arms is available now exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
