Techland’s Dying Light launched in January of 2015, and ended up being a pleasant surprise for many people. While the game didn’t receive universal acclaim, most agreed that it was a very fun zombie game that mixed first-person parkour and zombie killing very well. Despite the game’s age, the developer has just announced that they will be supporting it for at least another year with free content.
Techland announced in a new video that the game will be getting 10 new DLCs over the course of the next 12 months, which is truly impressive considering how the long the game has been out now. To make matters even better, all of this content will be released for free. As for what players can expect to receive with this new DLC, things like new enemies, events, mysteries and “much more” are on the horizon. You can check out the video below.
The developer will also be releasing a teaser of all of the content that is to come, which will be called “DLC #0” and is expected to be released soon. It’s worth noting that this isn’t included as apart of the 10 new DLCs, so there’s much more on the way.
Dying Light still attracts 500,000 users each week, which is a big reason why the company has decided to announce such extensive support so late in its lifetime. The company has done a good job of keeping fans happy with regular updates, and the core gameplay is still a lot of fun. While I’d personally love to see a full-blown Dying Light 2 happen soon, getting new content for the first game still sounds good.
