Earlier in the week Telltale Games announced that there would be news during the San Diego Comic Con. One of their topics did leak a few days ago, but the others were a surprise.
The first announcement was that a new season of Batman was coming. The title, Batman: The Enemy Within, leaked a few days ago. While it’s unfortunate that the title leaked, the release date was not leaked. Batman: The Enemy Within will be released on August 8th. Based on the trailer, it seems like two villains that will be in the game will be The Riddler and The Joker. Even though it did leak, I was still shocked that the game will be released so soon. Even though I thought the first season was average, I have a lot of hope for the second season. Looking forward to more Joker and solving actual riddles and not the Arkham series style riddles.
The next announcement was for The Walking Dead: The Final Season. The announcement of the final season not that long after the third season was a shock. During The Final Season, you will control Clementine and finish her story. The Walking Dead: The Final Season will be released in 2018. The final season of The Walking Dead? I think that’s what was the most surprising. Is it really the final season or is it just the last chapter of Clementine’s story? Time will tell, but now we have to wonder what will happen in the end. Will it be a happier ending similar to season three or will it be a downer ending like seasons one and two?
The final announcement was for The Wolf Among Us season two. The announcement came as a shock since the first game was released in 2013. Actors, producers and writers read tweets from fans of the series asking Telltale Games about the second season. The Wolf Among Us season two will be released in 2018. I had actually given up all hope that there would ever be another season of The Wolf Among Us. I’ve probably played through The Wolf Among Us the most out of all the Telltale games. I have to wait until 2018, but I can wait. As long as I know that I’m finally getting the game, that’s all that matters.
