Ark: Survival Evolved is finally set to be coming out of its early access form, with developer Studio Wildcard announcing at E3 that it will officially launch later this year. They’re still hard at work tweaking the game with updates, however, and now the latest one is live on PC. This brings the game to v258.86, and it fixes a couple of issues within the game.
The bigger of the two tweaks that have been made with the v258.86 update is the fix to single player cave spawns on TheIsland and ScorchedEarth. This is then joined by a fix to a bug that caused Ragnarok not to load on Mac & Linux platforms. This definitely isn’t one of the biggest updates that the game has received, but it will nevertheless make the lives of some of its player a little easier.
Update v258.81 was a little bigger than the current one, and if you missed that one then it contains the following:
* Fixed tamed Griffin not being ride-able without saddle (there is no Griffin saddle )
* Fixed Ragnarok spawn counts being too low
* Fixed Ragnarok high-level Cave Direbears being tameable
* Reorganized more Action Wheel options
