The original Ni No Kuni is considered by many to be one of the finest RPGs of recent memory, and now we know that it won’t be much longer until we can get our hands on the highly-anticipated followup. Bandai Namco has announced that Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will launch on November 10th.
With the announcement came a new description for the game as part of Bandai Namco’s E3 2017 lineup, which is the following:
“Explore a beautifully crafted world and experience a gripping story in an all-new RPG adventure. Famed Japanese developer, LEVEL-5, reunites with former Studio Ghibli artist, Yoshiyuki Momose, for character design, and Joe Hisaishi for music composition in the production of the next Ni no Kuni tale. In the world of Ni no Kuni II: REVENANT KINGDOM, players enter the kingdom of Ding Dong Dell, where cats, mice, and humans once lived in harmony. After a treacherous coup, Evan, the boy king of Ding Dong Dell is banished from his kingdom. Ni no Kuni II: REVENANT KINGDOM recounts the story of this deposed king and his journey to build his own kingdom and unite the entire world.”
As of right now we haven’t gotten any new screenshots or footage of the game, though that will likely change by the time Bandai Namco’s E3 showing is over. We can probably expect a new trailer to be released at the very least, and we’ll be sure to let you know when that becomes available.
Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will launch for PlayStation 4 and PC on November 10th. Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch launched for the PlayStation 3 2013, and was critically-acclaimed for its visual design, gameplay and story. Despite being a sequel, Ni No Kuni II is actually set hundreds of years after the events of the first game.
