Blizzard has revealed when season 5 of Overwatch’s competitive play will officially kick off, with it taking place just a few days after the conclusion of season 4. Season 5 will begin on Wednesday, May 31st at 5PM PDT.
The developer also announced the rewards for season 4. As long as you have at least completed your placement matches in season 4, then you’ll receive the Hanamura Player Icon and the Hanamura Spray. Both of the aforementioned items will be waiting for you when you boot up the game after the season ends.
For those who managed to reach the top 500 of their respective region, then there’s an additional player icon and animated spray for them. The amount of Competitive Points you accumulated will decide how many golden skins you will be able to purchase. The following is a breakdown of how much CP you get for each rank:
- SR 1-1499 (Bronze): 100 CP
- SR 1500-1999 (Silver): 200 CP
