Microsoft has announced today that the next system software update for Xbox One is now available to test for registered preview members. The update is called rs2_release_xbox_1705.170505-1900, and brings some notable fixes to the console that fans will surely be happy to have.
FIXES:
• Games and Apps
Fixed an issue which could cause games and apps to sort alphabetically when using “Sort by last used” or “Sort by last update”.
Certain games should no longer appear in the Apps section while they are installing.
Resolved an issue which could sometimes cause uninstalled games to display as installed in the Games category.
• Localization
Miscellaneous localization fixes and improvements.
• Tournaments
Fixed an issue which could sometimes prevent users from participating in Tournaments.
These changes are currently only available for those who are a part of the Xbox One preview program, which you need to register for in order for a chance to be accepted. However, it’s possible that these updates could be tweaked by the time they officially launch for all Xbox One users, so stay tuned for that.
This year is set to be a big one for the Xbox One, as Microsoft is expected to reveal the full details on Project Scorpio at E3 next month. Project Scorpio is a much-improved version of the original Xbox One, featuring specs that are much higher. However, the big question is how much this console will actually cost, as that could end up making or breaking its success. The original Xbox One already got off to a slow start due to its $500 price tag that was $100 more than the more powerful PlayStation 4, though it’s going to be hard to keep Scorpio’s price down considering how much more powerful it is.
Whatever ends up being the case, we’ll get the full details during E3. The event will take place from June 13th to June 15th.
