Earlier this year saw the first two games in the Zero Escape series come to PlayStation 4, which was through the Zero Escape: The Nonary Games collection. Fans of the series were confused as to why the collection didn’t include the third game in the series, but now we know why. The third game, called Zero Time Dilemma, will be coming to PlayStation 4 on its own this Fall.
The game will be getting both a physical and digital release, though a specific release date has not yet been revealed. The press release mentions that “Choice is your only method of salvation and your only means of escape. How much of your humanity will you sacrifice to earn your freedom? As a new age of ruin looms large on the horizon, you must make impossible decisions and weather unimaginable consequences as you straddle the line between absolution and damnation. Plan your escape.”
As for what will make getting the PlayStation 4 version worth it over the previous versions, the game has been “beautifully remastered with impressive new HD.” The game will also include both the English and Japanese voice over options, which is great for those who prefer the original voice acting.
Everything else is the same here, with the same diabolical puzzles and crazy characters packing another intriguing adventure. The game is filled with characters that are both new and old, though not everyone will make it to the end in one piece. However, the game does contain multiple endings, making return trips to the game all the more enticing.
We’ll have more information on the PlayStation 4 version of Zero Time Dilemma closer to launch, so be sure to stay tuned. If you’re interested in the previous games in the series, then be sure to check out our review of Zero Escape: The Nonary Games.
