Microsoft is hosting an event on May 2, and it seems that we will see the Surface Laptop launch with this occasion. Images of the laptop surfaced ahead of time and they depict a truly appealing device. These images show a really slim laptop with a 13.5-inch PixelSense display and an Alcantara-covered keyboard. We’ve seen this kind of keyboard on the Surface Pro 4 before. If the images are accurate, the laptop will be available in four different color variants. There will be a platinum, a graphite gold, a cobalt blue and a burgundy version of the device, all of which look good.
There is no information regarding the processor of Microsoft’s Surface Laptop so far. What we know from the images is that it doesn’t have a USB Type-C port. Instead, Microsoft added a regular USB port, a mini DisplayPort, and a Surface power connector. A headphone jack is also visible in the leaked images. As for the operating system, it seems that Microsoft’s Surface Laptop will run on Windows 10 S. This is a cloud-optimized version of the software the majority of us use on a daily basis. This is basically Microsoft’s alternative to the Google Chromebook Pixel.
Weighing only 2.76 pounds, Microsoft’s Surface Laptop will be an ultra portable device. We hope that the tech giant will offer this laptop with a powerful processor and that it will ensure a great user experience. Hopefully, it won’t be extremely expensive, although we can’t imagine it will be cheap either. The Microsoft event during which the Surface Laptop should launch will take place in a few hours. After the event, we will know everything there is to know about this device. We will not only know what it looks like, but we will also get information about its hardware, price, and availability. Would you like to own one of these laptops, only based on their design?
