For Honor is set to be getting a big patch on PC soon, with Ubisoft revealing that the 1.06 patch will be releasing on PC tomorrow. Peacekeeper, Lawbringer, Warden, Berserker, Orochi and Shugoki will be getting some big changes with the update, and further stability improvements are also included to make the game less buggy.
Framerate improvements for in-game menus and matches are also set to come with the patch, with the developer saying “When game performance drops below a certain threshold, the simulation could suffer and eventually halt because it has reached a point that is unrecoverable (often seen as errors 06000018 and 06000021). These network and performance optimizations were prioritized because they target areas of the game that are susceptible to cause an impact to game stability. While these errors can still occur, we hope to have addressed a good portion of its root causes. Furthermore, the networking optimizations will help reduce the impact that a player with a bad connection has on the others in the match.”
The majority of the rest of the patch focuses on tweaks to individual classes, which include balancing tweaks as well as bug fixes. You can check out the complete patch notes by clicking right here.
Last week the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game received the v1.05 update, which brought plenty of its own tweaks. It also added Global Daily Orders to the console versions of the game, with Orders being able to be completed through PvP or PvE. Finally, they also beefed up the AFK detection of the game, meaning that players who are away from their game but are still on a team in matchmaking are more likely to be booted now. This had been a notable problem with a game, so hopefully this will reduce the amount of uneven match-ups going forward.
For Honor is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It launched earlier this year and received mostly positive reviews, with most of the praise being directed at the game’s fantastic multiplayer mode.
