Neocore‘s The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II, the sequel to their 2013 Xbox console exclusive, has just arrived on the Xbox One digital marketplace, a mere week after the port announcement.
The continuation of the “tale of the world’s most famous monster-hunter” has been on Steam for just over two years, but the developer claims, in a press release, the port is “an improvement (…) in every way”, including a reworked Tower Defense mini-game, expanded skill-trees, improved multiplayer, and renewed gameplay mechanics.
As with the PC version, players will be able to “transfer their level 30 characters from Van Helsing I” into the sequel, allowing them to “continue the story”.
The Hungarian developers, operating since 2005, had previously published games such as Crusaders: Thy Kingdom Come, The Kings’ Crusade and the King Arthur: The Role-playing Wargame, with Paradox Interactive, and now occupy themselves with Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr and Deathtrap, in addition to the final chapter of their Van Helsing franchise, The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III.
The original, was received with mixed reviews, but praised for being entertaining when played with friends. The sequel, available for $14,99 and with two pieces of downloadable content, the Che Domovoy Minipet DLC and the Expurgator Set DLC, for sale at $0,99 each, is expected to deliver on at least that.
