This Thursday the folks from Visionary Realms will be presenting a live stream of the in development MMORPG Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen. Brad McQuaid, Chris Perkins, and John Diasparra will be hosting the stream that is set to reveal never before seen gameplay. The event is estimated to last two hours in which time viewers will get a look at Black Dagger Keep and a “surprise dungeon”. A recent press release also promises a look at the games perception system.
Pantheon, brain child of Everquest’s Brad McQuaid, is another one of those ambitious Kickstarter projects. Like many Kickstarters, the game got off to a rocky start when it failed to reach its funding goal of $800,000. Despite missing the mark, and some initial controversy, Pantheon is progressing steadily ahead in hopes of redefining the genre. It’s no secret that quality of life improvements found in modern MMORPGs have lowered the need for social interaction to be successful in those games. What the team at Visionary Realms hopes to do with Pantheon is reignite the spark of cooperation once found in the realm of MMOs.
Those interested can tune into the stream June 23rd at 6pm PDT at http://twitch.tv/visionaryrealms. If you are interested in learning more about Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen you can find additional information at http://pantheonmmo.com.
