Today, Blade and Soul is granted its ninth and newest class, the Soul Fighter. As the second hybrid class featured in the game, the Soul Fighter has a diverse set of skills that range from close quarters combat to long ranged attacks, making it the perfect choice for the fickle-minded player.
Here’s the breakdown:
The Soul Fighter class operates under two stances and focuses on dealing Frost and Earth based attacks. Not all abilities will deal elemental damage, but the ones that do have increased damage output that can then be further enhanced with strategic item selection. Though switching between Frost and Earth attacks can prove useful early on, focusing more on a single element is crucial for an optimum build, particularly if your interest lies in PVP.
Kung Fu is the Soul Fighter’s primary stance, and can prove advantageous in situations where you can successfully react and anticipate your opponent’s moves. This style features an incredible variety of quick dashes and counters that can disorient the opponent and allow you to strike in a flash. Using these tactics along with a host of invulnerability skills will open up even more powerful abilities that in the right hands can devastate other players.
The Elemental stance grants the user more range-based skills and is useful for crowd control situations, especially in PVE. Solo playthroughs with the Soul Fighter will most likely see a heavy reliance on the default Kung Fu stance for maximum efficiency, though in a party a more balanced use of the stances will probably be needed. Though the Soul Fighter is perfect for taking down smaller monsters, his/her presence in a group is not to be taken lightly. Due to an assortment of defensive abilities, the Soul Fighter grants vital party buffs in the form of healing, Focus recovery, and resurrection.
The Soul Fighter is a dual stance hybrid wielding elemental machine that can tear through opponents or bully them from a distance. Now you know what Blade and Soul’s ninth class is all about.
