When I hear the name Norman Reedus, the first thing I think about is his naked body in the middle of nowhere, a c-section scar on his stomach, and a lone infant laying in the dirt next to him. Apparently, I’m not the only one either, because that was exactly what Hideo Kojima depicted in his trailer for Death Stranding. Kojima is no longer a part of Konami and has gone in his own direction, creating Kojima Productions. Their first title, Death Stranding, will be featuring renowned actor, Norman Reedus, and is believed to be a branch away from the cancelled Silent Hills game that Konami was producing.
Death Stranding, though looking like some kind of psychological thriller from the trailer, is going to feature a ton of action elements. Kojima said that the game will be very different from what gamers have played before, and wants to leave a huge element of surprise. Many people are questioning what was even seen in the trailer for Death Stranding, and Kojima couldn’t be happier. He wants people to be confused and doesn’t plan on revealing a lot of information until the game is about to be released.
The game is confirmed to be released on PS4, but it’s still in very early stages of development. I would expect more information at E3 2017, and as much as it sucks to say, I think this title is going into the shadows for a bit as there just isn’t enough information floating around. Knowing Kojima, I’m sure this game is going to explode onto the scene when it’s ready, and there are many fans patiently waiting for its arrival. If you want to check out the trailer and make some speculations of your own, you can look right under this and give it a look. Feel free to even leave some comments down below and maybe we can spark up some ideas of what we think we’re going to be seeing with Death Stranding!
