When two senior employees of Infinity Ward were fired by Activision they decided to take fate into their own hands, thus Respawn Entertainment was born. Respawn’s first game Titanfall was a fast paced multiplayer-only fps in which players stepped into the role of a Titan Pilot who could use a jet-pack to boost jump and wall run in order to transverse the various maps with ease, and after racking up enough kills pilots could call in large mechs known as Titans to turn the tide of battle. That was two years ago.
Two months ago the team at Respawn released a short teaser trailer to let the world know that Titanfall 2 would be revealed on June 12. Now over on Respawn’s twitter they have decided to share another teaser for what will be coming. The teaser shows a couple brief scenes, but no actual gameplay. In keeping with their promise fans will get to see a lot more of Titanfall 2 at EA’s press conference on Sunday at 1 pm PDT.
Besides exciting mech battling goodness, a recent leak promises that we may be seeing two different collector’s editions revealed on Sunday. Redditor djgromo has discovered listings on a Polish site Ultima.pl for the two different Titanfall 2 collector’s editions. The site has since taken down the listings, but fast redittors had managed to grab details and images before the listings disappeared. The Titanfall 2 Standard Collector’s Edition will come with a light-up pilot bust, custom Shemagh scarf, exclusive memorial patches, pilot field journal, pilot id card flash drive, mini-art print set, and a paracord survival bracelet and is expected to retail for around $200. The Titanfall 2 Uber Edition will ship with a 1:1 replica pilot helmet, tactical helmet accessories, the custom Shemagh scarf, exclusive memorial patches, the pilot field journal, and the pilot id card flash drive, which should set fans back approximately $275.
Titanfall fans eager to see this information in an official capacity should tune into EA’s E3 press conference this Sunday.
