The ‘Fixer Upper’ star’s cooking show released its first batch of episodes on the Magnolia Network preview section of Discovery+ in January.
Joanna Gaines is staying in the kitchen, whipping up two more seasons of her new cooking show.
Magnolia Table, one of the flagships for Chip and Joanna Gaines’ forthcoming Magnolia Network, has been renewed through season three — with the second and third seasons dropping in spring and summer.
Like season one, which launched with Magnolia parent Discovery’s new streaming service in January, new episodes from season two will be arrive weekly on Discovery+. The premiere arrives April 9 on the Magnolia preview section of the platform. Season three of Magnolia Table is expected to drop three months later, when Magnolia Network officially debuts as a digital network ahead of its COVID-delayed linear launch in 2022.
The full Magnolia Network slate, including three complete seasons of Magnolia Table, launches July 15 on Discovery+ and a designated Magnolia app. The Gaineses revealed their tweaked launch plan for the network in February, after pandemic-related production halts in 2020 pushed back the linear launch. “From the beginning, our aim for Magnolia Network has been to tell good stories,” they said at the time. “Our plan has evolved along the way, but our original vision for this network has remained the same. And it is our ongoing desire to create a space, whether in a streaming environment, or on linear television, where people who watch a show on our network leave feeling like it was time well spent.”
Chip and Joanna Gaines’ Magnolia Launching July on Discovery+, Linear Shifts to 2022
In the meantime, Discovery is teasing more Magnolia content on its linear portfolio. On Saturday, April 10, Food Network will run a two-hour block of Magnolia’s culinary offerings with two episodes of Magnolia Table and the pilot episodes of new series Zoe Bakes and Ranch to Table.
Season two episodes of Magnolia Table will feature members of Joanna’s family, including her mother and sister.
