The Monster Hunter series will be making its long-awaited return to consoles soon, with the release of Monster Hunter: World set to launch later this month. However, there’s one more open beta coming for anxious players to get a taste of the action early, and this guide will show you how to download it and get playing.
Despite the full game coming to both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the third and final beta for Monster Hunter: World is once again a PS4-exclusive. This beta will be running from January 18th at 9 PM EST to January 22nd at 8:59 PM EST. This time players will be able to access a new quest that features Nergigante, along with all of the content that has been featured in the previous betas.
Seeing as this is an open beta, all that you need to do is search for the game through the PlayStation Store. A results page will show up, and a page for the beta should be somewhere near the top. Simply click on that result and click on the download button to get going. The download for the beta goes live today (January 17th).
The download size for the beta isn’t too bad, as it comes in at 5.5 GB. Once you’ve got it downloaded you’ll be all ready to go, so once the beta goes live just boot up the application and get to hunting those monsters until the 22nd.
That’s all there is to know about getting into the final beta for Monster Hunter: World. The game will launch for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 26th, for those of you who would rather just wait for the finished product.
