Enigma6 Group, LLC. As they like to be known are a new organization in the world of e-Sports. Known for their console gaming they are currently hosting only three teams, one for the Call of Duty Pro League, one for Gears of War and one in the Halo Championship Series: Pro League. Enigma6 gained popularity quickly by contributing the majority of their time to the community with #E6ARMY and #E6FAMILY gaining rapid support. E6 give a lot of time and money towards anti-bullying campaigns throughout America, making them very popular amongst younger fans.
Enigma6s acquisition of Carlos “Cratos” Ayala turned some heads and they were invited to HCS Pro League invitational 2016 Where they defied expectation and placed 4th, which was enough for them to be invited to the Pro League Summer Qualifier. This time they defied belief and placed 1st which granted them a place in the current HCS Pro League. Enigma6 have not changed their roster once since their creation, but who represents Halos youngest Pro Team?
We begin with the captain Carlos ‘Cratos’ Ayala. Gamertag: Cratos. Age:22.
Cratos is most known for his very successful year at “Team Allegiance” topped by achieving second place in the Halo World Championship with a prize of $500,000 and losing out to CLG. Shortly after the tournament Cratos left Allegiance under obscure circumstances, he was then offered his position at the newly formed E6 which has proven to be a great move for his career despite controversy at the time.
Moving on we take a look at Cuyler “Huke” Garland. Gamertag: HukE6. Age 16
Huke began his e-Sports career playing Call of Duty where he made it to the finals of 5 major tournaments in one year. He then moved on to Halo where he got a cut of the largest prize pool in Gaming history after playing the game for only a few months. Clearly an exceptional natural talent but still rough around the edges, which lead to his release by “Denial eSports”.He was however picked up by E6 the very next day as he had represented them previously in the Call of Duty Pro League.
Then we have Jesse “bubu dubu” Moeller. Gamertag: bubu dubu. Age: 17
bubu dubu is a fan favorite thanks to his exceptional skill and entertaining name. He began his career at “Denial eSports” alongside current team mate Huke. When Huke was dropped by Denial it is reported that bubu dubu spoke with legendary pro gamer Strongside who confessed his greatest regret was dropping his longtime friend and team mate Walshy from their team “Final Boss” in 2008. This convinced bubu dubu to also leave Denial and rejoin with Huke at E6.
(Michael “StrongSide” Cavanaugh and Dave “Walshy” Walsh are considered by many to be two of the greatest players in Halo history and their team “Final Boss” is arguably the greatest team of all time).
The final member of the team is Ryan “Shooter” Sondhi. Gamertag: Hes A Shooter Age: 24
Shooter made his way through many Semi-Pro teams since 2011 but never found success until 2014 when he joined “Team eLevate” shortly followed by “Team Liquid” then “Winterfox”. This was the platform that he needed to get noticed and in April 2016 he was invited to join Enigma6s all new team where he has enjoyed some very successful months, linking well with his new team. Shooter is considered by many to be the most under rated player in the league.
Enigm6 are the wild card of the Halo Pro League who have repeatedly exceeded their expectation. With four superb individual players it will be interesting to see if they can harmonize into a team unit in time to unsettle the top 3. To keep up to date with Enigma6’s progress check them out on Twitch every Thursday and Friday at 5PM (PT) or head over to Halo.gg.
Happy Gaming.
