Nintendo Switch Games our Top 7
While the initial hype around the Nintendo Switch has fallen away, there are still many of us who enjoy this neat little console. It is actually a rather portable device and it does make hanging out with friends while playing games an enjoyable experience – well, as long as you keep winning! Now, while there are some great games you can play on the console – yes, we’re talking about Zelda – you still have plenty of titles out there that are not on it. A number of these gaming titles would also make great Switch games.
Here are the seven games that should be on Nintendo Switch.
Pokemon Red/Blue
What better game to come out on Nintendo Switch then its best selling titles? Both the Pokemon Red and Blue have helped make a fortune for Nintendo and it’s time to bring this game out of the closet and into the real world.
There have already been a ton of remastered versions of games similar to Pokemon – the technology and ability to bring this game to the 21st century is definitely there. We just need Nintendo to understand that instead of bringing us new Pokemon Titles, we might just want to see a bit of the old action.
Hearthstone
Blizzard is not known for its cooperation with Nintendo – the last time the two worked together was during StarCraft 64. But if there’s one popular game that’s all about portability, it surely is Hearthstone. With the Lick King expansion out now, the developer might as well announce the game is coming to Switch. It would be the perfect match. You could just go to your friends with your Switch in the backpack and start a heated game of Hearthstone.
Dark Souls
Dark Souls is one of the best game trilogies in the world. It’s also one of those games that would put Nintendo back in the ‘serious’ console category, and attract new users. Not to mention, it would be superbly fun to play on the Switch. You would find nothing as satisfying as defeating the godly looking monsters with your tiny controller – and don’t even get us started about the bonfire lighting. To do that in real hand motion and a click of a button would just be the dream come true. Now, unlike the other titles on the list, this one might be a rather hopeful edition – rumours suggest the trilogy might be coming out on Nintendo Switch.
Star Fox Adventures 2
Another extremely fun game to play on the Nintendo Switch console would be Star Fox. The ability to move around with your console – and to do it more than with the Wii U – would make flying a rocket powered moped a lot of fun. Not to mention that we’ve not been treated with a proper Star Fox game for years, even though the last game was highly acclaimed. The problem with seeing Star Fox pop up on Switch might be the fact that the gaming company behind it, Rare, has been bought by Xbox. But w can still hope.
South Park: The Stick of Truth
The Nintendo Switch also requires quite a bit of fun action. We don’t want gaming to just be serious business and to give us some laughter, we all rely on South Park. As the new game in the franchise is coming out – hopefully sooner rather than later – the franchise could also announce it will find its way on Twitch. If we had to pick an old South Park game, the Stick of Truth would certainly be on the cards.
Metroid Prime 4
This anticipated title is coming to Nintendo but there has been no official announcement that it would be making its way on Switch. But it really should, as it is one of the best sci-fi serious out there – and that’s saying a lot. The previous versions have had great mechanics in terms of the game play and the puzzles have been challenging but not too difficult to solve. The game is for the more mature audience so it could be why we still aren’t sure if it’s coming to Switch.
Rocket League
Rocket League’s makers are optimistic about the game coming out on Twitch and it would be a perfect addition to the console. The multiplayer is one of the console’s biggest strengths and therefore, a game like Rocket League would fit perfectly on this platform. In fact, since you don’t need to worry about split-screen with Twitch, the game could work a lot better on this console – you could easily sneak up on people.
Now, if you’ve not yet gotten your hands on Switch, you definitely want to do so. The price is admittedly a little steep, especially when it comes to buying games, but there are ways to save. You can already find second-hand consoles and if you check out OZCodes.com.au, you can find gaming retailers selling the console with big discounts.
There are a number of good games already on Switch but, naturally, more needs to come in order for the console to succeed. The above seven are definitely games that would fit the console well – so here’s hoping they’ll be released sometime in the near future.
