Epic Games prepares itself for Paragon’s big update featuring new map, “Monolith” to become newest addition to MOBA
With the well crafted seri es Gears Of War brought upon third-person shooter fans by Epic Games, the company adds on enjoyab le free-to-play MOBA Paragon to give to fans as a unique experience. Epic Games is currently in development with the game and is in beta for players to test out and to give insight back to the company on what to adjust. While the company is known for its third-person action games, bringing a MOBA to the table is definitely worth a look.
Fans will recognize the mechanics and artwork installed in the game being definit ely relatable to the iconic series Gears of War. Epic Games’ MOBA really shows off its game in a fun and exclusive way, building up hype for upcoming map, “Monolith” ready for download on December 6th. With the current map “Legacy” being played, Epic Games’ promotional tactic to keep fans enticed gives a brand new character to play every three weeks, providing a hashtag “#everythreeweeks” on Paragon’s site and its main menu screen. New characters added to the game such as Kwang, Countess, and most recent one, Crunch appears in the game’s roster adding to a total of 25 Heroes. They are part of affinities similar to Gearbox’s Battleborn where they include characters in categorical factions. These affinities include their own sets of special cards that benefit players differently while in gameplay. While fans are becoming more excited to get a taste of Paragon’s new main map, questions arise as to what changes will come along with the significant update.
Requests such as movement speed, buffs, cooldown time, and game duration was highly suggested by players, posting on their site to help the game’s successful progression. From a bird’s eye view, the mini map of “Legacy” is a symmetrical map featuring three lanes with a jungle, compared to upcoming map “Monolith” will be an asymmetrical landscape that will give players a sense of navigation throughout the whole area. “Monolith” will still contain three lanes and a jungle, however they plan to additionally provide a new currency system to automatically gain card power to spend on abilities. Paragon is currently out for PlayStation 4 and PC. Epic Games is already keeping up to pace with system PlayStation 4 Pro to give the game changes in better resolution and scenery.
A trailer by Epic Games was recently released showing off the difference between PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro with a better picture quality and the landscape changes in grass to appear in gameplay. With the amount of hype building up, Paragon seems it will live up to expectations by players giving positive feedback on the game to give an ultimate MOBA experience in third-person. Paragon’s, “Monolith” will be available to players on Dec. 6th for PlayStation 4 and PC.
