Fans of The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) can expect some new upcoming content with the recently detailed Update 11. The game’s official website has just released some of the specifics of the update, including the announcement that it will now be possible for players to alter their characters’ appearances, down to such details as gender and even race.
Up until now most players had to choose a race for their character that aligned with the faction of their choosing, unless they were willing to pay for special content that would grant exceptions to this rule. It is unclear whether or not it will be possible to change your character’s race to one that is outside of their faction with the new update. Changing a character’s appearance will be a feature that must be purchased using tokens. Whether or not these “tokens” can be purchased using gold in-game or will only be available at the Crown Store is uncertain.
Additional content announced with the update includes new hair styles and body decorations, as well as two new DLC Dungeons, all available at the Crown Store. Updates that will be free to all ESO players include capturable towns in Cyrodiil’s PVP area, and re-optimized difficulty and rewards for the three 12-player trial areas. Text chat will now also be available to players on console.
More details on this upcoming update are expected in the near future.
