The Russian CS:GO team , Team Empire have announced on their website that they have lost their two players, Roman “CyberFocus” Dergach and Alexander “spiker” Ivanov after a failure to achieve any significant wins under the team banner, only gaining any actual ground in the CIS Minor Championship for ESL One Cologne 2016. The two players commented that they enjoyed their time on the team, wished luck to their teammates, and said that they look forward to finding a new team. They have not specified whether or not they will be sticking together in their quest for a new team. Empire acquired the present roster after buying it from Rebels, another CIS-based CS:GO team late January of this year. The team failed to qualify for ESL One Cologne very early on in the offline qualifiers after they lost both matches to FLG, and generally failed to achieve any major results at tournaments.
The remaining players on the team, Sergey “spaz” Skrypchik, Denis “electronic” Sharipov and Emil “kUcheR” Akhundov are currently playing in ESEA Premier under the name of ANOXmix along with Anatoliy “liTTle” Yashin and Leonid “chopper” Vishnyakov, two players from FLuffy Gangsters, another CS:GO team. Thus, it is not known whether they too have left the Empire roster or if they will continue to play under that name.
